BURNISHING TECHNIQUES

"I can't believe it's colored pencil!" is the first reaction to David's colored pencil drawings. He achieves photo realistic drawings by using the burnishing technique-a layering and mixing of colored pencils. He is especially well known for his reflections on metal and glass, winning many national realism shows with his burnished colored pencil drawings. David will share step by step secrets for creating drawings that look like paintings.
